Williamson/Newark - Joanne Wallace, 85, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Due to COVID-19, and the current restrictions Joanne's service will be private. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery, North Cohocton, NY.

Joanne was born the daughter of the late James Burris and Ada (Wightman) Wallace on Thursday, April 4, 1935, in Atlanta, NY. She spent her life in the area, graduating from Williamson High School class of 1952. After high school, Joanne earned her bachelor's degree from Brockport College and then she earned a master's degree from Alfred State College. Joanne loved to travel with her parents, including many camping trips. She enjoyed hiking, camping, reading, and being outdoors.

Joanne will be remembered by her dear friends, Donna (Bruce) Hudson; many cousins and friends.
